Corvette: Z06 Status

    Z06 Status

MSD finally got back to me with a MSD Window Switch. They charged $300 to
adapt it to use for a C5 / Z06 (no shit!). Highway robbery. Next news
flash was from ZEX. It appears that the nozzle for the fuel (not the N2O
nozzle) is a "suggestion". What they want you to do is fog the 250, and
experiment with different gas nozzles to get the "wetness" just right. This
is done by looking at the plugs after each run and adjusting the richness of
the gas nozzle. Too lean or too rich will show on the plugs. Have any of
those fucktards ever tried to change the plugs on a C5? What a pain in the
ass to do between rounds! If you screw up and go too lean or too rich,
the O2 sensors are all ruined (at $85 each).

On the Mopar front - I found an article saying that you can buy crate
motors for up to 25% below what mopar wants; but so far no luck. The
article said the crate 500 Wedge should be about $5,500; and the best I
found for the 500 Wedge is $7,449. I pick up the rolling chassis (1971
Roadrunner / Satellite body) tomorrow. For a tranny, I am having a
difficult time. B&M seems to focus on Chevy - and this car needs a strip
version of a 727 Mopar transmission that can handle about 600 HP. Rear end
seems to be easy - just a Dana 60. I am pretty excited about this winter
project, though the car will look strange sitting there with 6 Corvettes (I
    have 3 C5's, a C4, and 2 C3's).

Self made. I owned an SAP consulting company, and now own a wireless
software company. Born (and grew up) quite poor in Brooklyn, NY. Paid my
own way through undergrad and grad schools, and worked for 10 years doing
consulting before buying my own company. The first company was quite
profitable, and I was able to sell it and buy a second company at the height
    of the SAP craze.

dave is such a dick. Like it's any of his business where your money comes
from. That reminds me, how's that Columbian thing working out ? ) You're
going to find out that getting goodies for a Mopar, especially an old Mopar,
is nowhere near as easy as getting bolt-on/bolt-in/replacement parts for
    Chevy's.

    This
    of

Start with the richest mixture and work down. I just get someone to look at
my exhaust and if it is smokin, it's too rich. It's way better to be rich
than lean. Rich mixture also cools the charge which helps make HP. I really
can't tell much difference in the different nozzles performance wise. It
will carbon up the plugs though.

I've just finished my restoration on the 89 but haven't yet hooked the N2O
yet. I have to replace my MSD 6A first. I had a local mechanic fix my blown
headgasket and he accidentally fried the old one. It's hooked up to a
retardation module that keeps detonation to a minimum when N2O is hit.

I have heard that before, but the guy who I am buying the car from told me
about a place that has every part ever made for the Roadrunner, including
every little tiny chrome part, etc. The car comes with every external
piece of chrome, and the interior completely stripped and ready for me to
    add a custom interior.
