Your PC is LIKELY infected with W32.Blaster.Worm virus!!!!!
If you have an anti-virus and firewall running, you are already aware of
this worm virus.
But if you DON'T have an anti-virus and firewall installed, you are VERY
LIKELY infected!!!
I receive well over 20 emails a day with the virus attached. Fortunately,
Norton Anti-virus removes the threat.
The emails have subjects "Thank you" or something else like "here's
something cool" or other thing to get you to click on the attachment. The
emails come from email addresses you don't even know.
My firewall also detects at least 20 attacks daily that are reported by
Norton Firewall as: MS_RPC_DCOM_BufferOverflow.
You can check to see if your PC is infected, and automatically remove the
virus - get the removal tool from Symantec:
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/
Personally, I highly recommend purchasing the Norton Anti-virus and firewall
protection. I also own McAffee and PC-Cillin anti-virus, as well as
BlackIce firewall - but ALL of these have let me down. Both McAffee and
PC-Cillin have allowed my PC to become infected in the past, and BlackIce
caused false threats.
This is URGENT!!! All Microsoft systems are vulnerable from Windows 95 -
XP - 2000 - NT
Check your system or you will inadvertently infect others.
If you DO have the virus and successfully remove it, be sure to tell others
here as well so they know it's no joke!

Which ever virus it is, he's pointing people to a site where they can get
rid of both of them. That's helpful in my book. Thanks Terry!

Re: Your PC is LIKELY infected with W32.Blaster.Worm virus!!!!!
Mikhael,
I have had PERSONAL EXPERIENCE receiving this virus as an email attachment.
It is detected by Norton Anti-virus as W32.Blaster.Worm and are found as W32
variants - some being Sobig and also W32.Klez, W32.wierd. W32.Yaha.K...
Aside from the email attachments, I am attacked at least 20 times daily, but
the firewall detects the attacks identified as "MS_RPC_DCOM_BufferOverflow"
Once again, check for and eliminate the virus as www.Symantec.com

According to the Microsoft bulletin, it affects NT and Windows 98 as well.
Symantec recommends those O/S without a firewall run a third-party firewall.
