The Norwood ad was indeed my doing. Now, I have to say I still am in
love with that black "GTO conversion". I just don't care what anybody
says. There's a time to be proper and there's a time to be cheap and
sleazy.
As far as the red GTO "recreations" ... well, they look nice on the
outside, as long as I knew what it really was I couldn't really look
sopmebody who owned one in the eye without giggling a bit over the money
he/she spent. I mean, COME ON. If you can drop $225K on something like
that, can't you just up the ante a lot more and buy something that's
relatively real?
But ummm ... what's wrong with the Aston? The engine? I think that
cars beautiful. Doesn't the Vanquish have a V12? So it's a Vantage
with BALLS.
Life's too short to be Mr. Stickler For The Original about everything!!
Most of us, and you too I would imagine, couldn't afford the original of
a lot of cars we like, and probably never will be able to. In SOME
cases I don't mind a bit of bastardization.
Anybody dreading CBS' coverage of the San Marino race this weekend as
much as I am?

parts bin...
The V-12 in the Vanquish is two Mundial V-6s bodged together, the
Vanquish is an aluminum and carbon fiber steroid clone of the
Maranello that somehow weigh sand extra quarter ton.

Some are saying CBS has CGI'd Larry Moe and Curly into the broadcast
booth, so it might be fun!

I could give a shit, personally. It's nothing but a bunch of pomp and
gild, with nothing of any substance ever coming of a single thing that
comes out of their mouths, while in the meantime so many of the
Vatican's "designated messengers", at least in this country, are busy
playing the mouth organ with the altar boys. And now the spectacle
begins. Jeez, a guy farts while he's on the balcony and news analysts
pundit while showing scenes of quivering, quaking Catholics around the
world. White smoke, black smoke, pot smoke. I think I'll take Door No.
3 and leave the rest to the idolaters.
I won't even start on the UNgodly amount of money the Catholic Church
possesss and does NOT use to help the poor and unfortunate among its
constituents.
What a crock. Yes, I'm bitter. Maybe someday I'll get the faith back
but right now all I've ever had my prayers answered with is a shit shower.

(And no, this isn't another sign of a "peaceful MC" apocalypse or any
shit like that. It's just that I know better than to post when I'm in
this frame of mind, and there's no need for post bombs on something as
