    WTB: 1997 SC400 5-Speed - what to look for?

    hi lexus lovers out there,

    i own an 2003 LS430 and a 1993 LS400 and may get hold of a 1997 SC400
with 60000 miles just for fun driving. it is a 5-speed machine and it
seems the engine has 10HP more than first production years.

are the problems that can occure basically the same as for the LS400
or do i have to look for other specific points besides timing belt,
water pump, AC, servo steering, dashlights, radio system, rotors...?

ANY HELP is appreciated. here in europe you just CANT have enough
    information about the SC.

    thanks in advance,

    george / Stuttgart

Wait a minute. Is that a 5-speed manual or auto?

I thought the manual only came with the (gut-less) 3 liter six and you were
stuck with an auto (boring) with the V8.
