Jeep: Wrangler fold down windshield and door removal?

Wrangler fold down windshield and door removal?
Hello all,
I am renting a Jeep Wrangler for 10 days in Anguilla soon. They are
pretty lax with the rental rules there. They actually allow 4x4 use with
the rental Jeep. about half their raods are dirt.
I never owned a Wrangler. I have a 94' Cherokee Sport which has seen
alot on time on the beach.
The rental Jeep has a removable soft top. What tools do I need to fold
down the windshield on the Wrangler? Remove the doors? Is it a big deal
or is it easy? I can store the doors in our hotel room.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Bchbound

The doors are easy to remove. If they are soft doors just lift them off.
Hard doors have a nut on the upper hinge pin. Remove the nut and lift the
doors off. You might have to rock them back and forth while lifting. As for
the windshield, I really wouldn't bother. It really is a pain to lower it
and a greater pain to put it back up.

On my 95 YJ it is a 1/2 inch nut.

I thought it was 13mm, I know they are close to the same. I have a Met
Wrench set, which has standard and metric together in same socket, wrench
end, so I'm not for shure. Take both to be on safe side. As for the
windshield, in the US, it is illegal in most states to let the windshield
down, plus you get a face full of bugs.

Mine was 1/2 inch but they might have been changed. It's only illegal to
have the windshield down on the road. Off road they don't care.
