    $80k for a new six-cylinder Honda vs $80k for a 512BBi... Uh...Duh...

....Even $80k vs $50k for a Corvette is a no brainer.

Nothing exotic about it at all, it's all but an overpriced G2 Toyota
    MR-2.

It did force Ferrari to step up their game, resulting in the 348/355
    transformation

    ....G1 Honda S2000.

Yup. When Cunningham raced one in World Challenge, he ran it with a
    supercharger.

The NSX was past its sell-by date when introduced, derived as it was,

    the eighties, the 408.

Foolishly Honda cribbed the Ferrari *muletto's* afterthought styling
    as well.

But in spite of all that, the NSX is the best compromise between
price, handling, performance and daily driver that *I* ever owned, and
I've owned a few cars that were expensive and definitely *weren't*
    daily drivers.

My first NSX bit me in the ass big time (dumb, lift off oversteer,
somewhat alcohol related to be brutally honest) and I totaled it.
Pilot error. The second one just keeps on going. Whatever you think
of its looks, the car is a tough driving act to follow.

Gas and go. There needs to be one hell of a step up in all-round
performance to make the sacrifice of 'gas and go' worthwhile. It's
not just a question of money. Fire when ready, Gridley.

    What?

He's saying he messed up in the past and not to judge him
harshly, and I'm saying only someone who never did anything
stupid in their life should say anything, implying there is no
    such person.

It's from a bible story. A prostitute was going to get stoned
to death (not that way Mike!) and Jesus says "let those who
are without sin cast the first stone" and waits to see if anyone
is hypocritical enough to throw a stone anyway. Obviously in
the story everyone is awed by this deep social commentary
and the prostitute is spared. In real life Jerry Falwell would
jump up and yell "hit her with a stick instead, unless she has
    some money to donate".

So basically if anyone wants to wag their finger at him for driving
under the influence I should hope they've never done the same
thing at any point in their life, otherwise shame on them for such
hypocrisy. The guy learned from his experience without hurting
anybody but himself (I'm assuming here) so I'd hope he gets no
knee-jerk reactions from anyone on here. Judging by the way
things have shaken out so far it looks like nobody here is that
    stupid.
