where is the low pressure a/c switch?
Working on a friend's 2001 malibu.
Is low on freon. Trying to add more, but A/C compressor won't kick
on.
Where on the car is the low pressure a/c switch? I've looked all over
for the stupid thing!

I do not know specifically where on that car but if you follow the suction
(large) line from the compressor back toward the evaporator you should find
it. The most common location seems to be on or near the accumulator.

Hello Sam,
I just happen to browse through this site I saw your question.
Malibu do not have a low pressure cut off switch.
Only one pressure switch located at the discharge hose with 3 wires.
one ground black color and one 5volt market gray color and sensor
signal market red/black.
That switch dose everything. if you need wiring diagram let me know
I'll send a copy to you.

OK, how do you force the compressor clutch
to engage?
