Depending on the model, ST160 started in mid 85 and was powered by a
non-crossflow 8 valve 2litre 4 cylinder should not be bought unless you want
a shell for a drag car. In 86 the rest of the ST16 series were brought out
and these are all frount wheel drive.

There have been two periods when the Celica range has been FWD only.
1986-1988, RWD was dropped in 1986 and 4wd was not made until 1988
and
1994-2003+ when the 4wd was dropped from the range.
