A blueprinted engine, racecar suspension and a tweaked rev limit
.
I think possibly it also comes with a black box to measure the level
of wanton mechanical abuse hurled at the car, so BMW can claim
warranty costs back from the publishers...

Re: What is "Press Prepatation" option
I have a 1999 540iA Touring with Press Prep as an option. My car was a BMW NA
exec car. I bought it with just over 6,000 miles on it. The car included a
press kit and was supposedly subjected to an additional quality control
inspection (this according to somebody on the phone at BMW NA).
Is this a new car that you are looking at? If not, run a Carfax on it. It will
probably come up as a fleet car. I've had no problems with my car.
Good luck

Thanks, for that.
The car is only 2 months old and I was told it was a staff car so I
guess that's the same as yours. I like the idea that it has additional
quality control much more than the idea that it would be limited to
stop them trashing it!! so I hope you're right.
I've decided to go for it anyway. I'm getting it on Monday and cant
wait :-)
I've never heard of carfax....how do I do that?
