    What order to do things????

I am inexperienced in the art of auto repair. However I am a teacher at a
high school with an award winning auto-tech program. One of the students in
the program is a former student of mine and I asked him if he would like a
    progect car....my '77 L-82.

My question is...is there a particular order of things
(reprairs/upgrades/restorations) that things should be done?

    for example
I would like to fix/upgrade the PS system, the suspension, the trailing arm
bushings (and the other bushings as well), exhaust and headers and then
engine mods. Would it be best to do the engine first then the rest or some
    other particular order???

    Thanks

    Alok

It is always best to fix things that are broken or worn out first before
modifying others for better performance. Sometimes you can do both at the
same time, such as replacing worn bushings and upgrading to high performance
suspension bushings rather than the original rubber ones.

Sounds like you are thinking smart, upgrade the bushings with a suspension
kit that has them all. They aren't really that expensive. Then rebuild the
PS. After it's done take it for a ride and see how it handles, it may help
you decide how far you want to go with the other mods.

Thanks....I will look in to suspension upgrades...and replacement of a all
the bushings first...then look for a power steering upgrade. Then let him
talk me into some crazy engine mods ;-)
