what do I put for a gap on these spark plugs

Is the gap for a 99 sunfire .050. I just bought some AC delco 41-948 plugs at
the guy was saying that they should be gapped to .060 and they are pre gapped
to .040 So who is right?

    Depends on engine.
    2.2L is .040
    2.4L is .050
