Good idea. Six months of road grime, pollutants, and the like would
be
great for a brand new paint job.
OR....you could hit it with a good carnuba wax such as S100 or an
absolutely great synthetic called Klasse.
Your paint will love you for it.

The cars paint curing has already been completed unless the vehicle was
built less then 1 month ago (unlikely).
I agree on the S100 Suggestion as I use that on my Camry and Buick. I would
also suggest Crystal Glo Motorcyle Polish as it gives great protection from
salt, and road debris. Here is their link:

Zaino.
You need to follow directions and use clay bar and Dawn for cleaning
as the products contain no abrasives or cleaners whatsoever. Use the
100% cotton made in USA towels also.
Try the total protection kit with clay and ZFX included. Will add a
new dimension even to the new car finish and your paint will stay
dazzling perpetually with periodic maintenance.
I would say the only drawback to these products is that they're almost
overkill for a Camry or Avalon. They produce brilliant results, but
almost leave you wishing you had applied them to a Corvette, or
Ferrari - something with more sporty lines to appreciate the gleaming
results, but they do a terrific job of protecting the finish also.
Just check the news groups or seach Zaino. I believe you'll find
almost universal praise for the products.
