Chrysler: Vision (eagle)3.5 24 v

The engine is somtimes completely dead for a very short moment . during
driving it at normal speed most of the time it recovers and it feels like
the car has hickups.

For the first time the engine remains dead for a longer time today, after
checking i found no spark.

Highway service told me that the RPM sensor is the source of the problems.
The rpm are ,during stationairy, some times fluctuating up and down.

Does anyone has experiance with this engine failiure ? And is this sensor to
replaise easely ?
