I'm streching it here, are your torque converter bolts tight?

We all like a single solution to any problem but
this might be a combination of two failures. I'd
take a look at both the harmonic(torsional)
    balancer and the motor/transmission mounts.

Make sure that all vacuum hoses especially at the throttle body aren't
leaking. My 89 does that when a leak in the plenum is present.

    vibration under load

I have a 93 automatic coupe that is experiencing a strange vibration at
2500-2800 rpm in first gear. It feels like an exhaust pipe hitting the
floorboard but goes away after the rpms get higher, This only occurs under a
moderate load, not if you accellerate at " normal" conditions.
I also notice that the vibration goes away if I am not running my climate
control in the automatic mode. If I turn my climate control off. Where do I
    need to start looking.
I have also replaced all the u-joints and marked the half shafts and drive
shaft with paint marks to ensure that the components go back the way they
    came out.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this problem

i haven't had those checked yet , but would it make a difference if the
climate control was on or off.
