Ferrari: Valeo Clutch System

Valeo Clutch System
Does anyone have a citation to anything deeper than a single-sentance
description of the Valeo electromagnetically actuated clutch (which
predated the "F1" clutch-transmission system by some 8-9years) affixed
to a (small) number of Mondial t's? ...And then maybe a source
stating how many were so configured?
TIA

There's very little info on it. I've looked and all I've got is the
repair manual. The thing's a nightmare to work on. We had one customer
that had one and then quickly unloaded it (his wife talked him into it).
It was a novelty to drive but I'd take the normal Mondial t over it
any time.
There is also a thread or two on it on F-chat.
As for how many I heard 50, but I've never seen any official totals.

You never told me that.
When Regazzoni was first at our shop in '94 he told me that Sharon was
interested in the Guidosimplex hand controls for her Ferrari because she didn't
want her left leg muscles to bulk up in comparison to her right leg's.
What a bitch.

That's what I heard from some too, but the owner said the real reason is
she had left knee problems. Based on the condition of the car I think
she used her right leg with great vigor as well!
