    tundra tires?

I just bought a 2002 tundra and want to put some larger tires under it
without a lift, how big can I go without running into fender
    interference? thanks

No troubles whatsoever with 275/70R16 tires.

    Stock size is a 245-70R16
Stock for the TRD package is 265-70R16.
I've heard that generally 265-75R16 is okay. 285's need a mild lift.

I've heard from a few owners that even a mild lift is insufficient to
avoid some rubbing on a lock-to-lock turn, when using 285's.

What if you were to put wheels (rims) with a 3 5/8 backspacing on 285's, would you get rubbing then?

    Re: tundra tires?

My '03 owners manual says that the 245-70R16 stock tires are interchangable
    without modification to the 265-70R16

I've only had experience with, and talked with others, who use
    stock wheel offset.

True... the lift doesn't relocate the frame.

Moving the wheels inboard would possibly cause interference with the
upper A-arm. Moving them out can cause rubbing on the frame and
fenders due to the wider arc.

Correct, other than the speedo recalibration.
