Corvette: Trophy

Trophy
My first time out in a judged competition yesterday. I took third place in
the "Restored Street" division. I'll take it. Once I get the judging
sheets in the mail I'll have a better idea as to what I need to work on. I
already know that the carpeting needs to be replaced. No holes or rips, but
a bunch of years in the Arizona sun took its toll. The seat belts are kind
of shabby too. I'm guessing that's where I lost the most points. Still,
pretty good for my first event.

Re: Trophy
Must have had a blind judge, they'll get it right the next time, and not
allow you on the lot. ;-p

hands with a judge.

Re: Trophy
Thanks Hobbes. I came this >||< close to second. Stupid me...after the
second judge looked at the car, I took the tops off, packed them away and
put the windows down to get ready for the ride home. All of the sudden
there's a "senior judge" standing in front of me. I had no idea what was
going on, so he explained to me that he was there to break a tie. Duh. Had
to put the car back together again. I may have "unofficially" lost points
while the judge was standing there twiddling his thumbs waiting for me to
put the car back together again. Live and learn...

Re: Trophy
Just an old dog teaching a new dog the facts of life. It's why dogs chase
cars and urinate on the wheels. If you can't eat it, screw it, or dive it,
piss on it. Did his dog mark your wheels??
We don't mail the sheets, they get them at the event, that way any dispute
is settled right then. Sometimes I question that practice but when the event
is over it's over.
