    Transmission interchange? A604

I have a 1994 GC that has a major leaking from the main seal. I have a
1990 GC with low miles that runs great, but has bad body. Both have the
3.3L and OD transmission. Is the 1990 tranny interchangeable, and if so
are any changes necessary? Someone told me that the '90 was different.
Also how tough is the seal to replace? Opinions on either option will be
    greatly appreciated.

If you are going to swap Parts, I believe the best way to check for yourself
is to contact your local dealer and have them check for you, if the part
numbers are the same then it will work.
If the part numbers are different. I would not do it.
Alot of salvage yards will say it will work and really aren't sure but since
they aren't the ones doing it they really don't care

Do you mean swapping the engine AND tranny as a unit? If not, would
that be more feasible since it's low-miles?

A salvage yard has an interchange book and can tell you if they will fit and
most will do so. Smile when you go in.
