Mitsubishi: Transaxle on a Mirage

My girlfriends car wont move. Then engine runs fine and shifts ok, but the
car doesn't do anything. I have checked the transmission fluid, and it is
ok. I have traced back the linkage to a box above the transmission. Does
all the gears go at once or is it a problem in that linkage box?

mits tranny's have a high torque converter failure due to stripped spiles in
converter. replace torque and problem should be resolved....this is common
but vehicle must not move in forward or reverse if vehicle moves at all
converter is not suspect
