trans in 95 town and country

Hello, I know a guy who is having problems with his trans when it is in
park or in gear with your foot on the brake it sounds fine and it shifts
    fine
when you get up to any steady speed or let off the gas above 30 mph it
sounds like a wheel bearing noise his mechanic told him it was in the
trans. I have done a lot of mechanical work and it sounds like a wheel
bearing any ideas I just can't buy that it is a trans problem

left to right, as you load and unload the weight on the brg it will come and

It could be the differential. If it is I would expect the noise to change
between accel and decel. Have you ruled out the tires? Try moving the front
tires to the rear to see if there is a change.
