    Tranmission drain and refill

I just drained and refilled the tranmission fluid in my LX 450 (brother
of Landcruiser). The manual specifies 2.1 qts of transmission fluid for
drain and refill service. I put in 2.1 then 2.5 qts, but the fluild
level never got to the COLD level. Does anyone have the same experience
    or explanation for it? Thanks.

That's only if the pan is drained. Sounds like your torque convertor
got drained as well, as it'll suck up a couple of quarts by itself.
