If you've just purchased it, give it time as you may grow to like it. I
prefer a long throw to say a joystick shifter like an integra or something
like that. But I've tried some bimmers with shift kits and they were pretty
neat -- note that you will typically experience increased effort in your
shifts inverse to the length of the throw when you modify a car this way.
Not that I'm anything approaching an expert, others will likely chime in
with particular recommendations.
