Maybe it was for his 40th birthday. Yah.

Re: street races in san jose
Call or ping SCCA, or find a drag track that allows amateur entries -
then you can race without worry (I got a couple street racing tickets
when I was 16, many years ago - if you get them now, you'll be in jail
or without a car and license for a long time). Street racing, although
"cool" now, is a good way to get someone hurt (maybe you, maybe someone
else), and should be avoided. It shows an immaturity - if you want to
run for money, get a different car, my little contour will kill yours
(13.2 quarters on Nitto's with mr bad shift point (me) at the wheel) and
looks like a family truckster, and every decent rice rocket around will
have your title. A Saleen is a great car, but is not a street racer
until you spend some money on modifications. I wish I had one, one of
the best factory mustangs, but street racing is an idiotic thing to do.
I'm not sure where there are drag tracks in your area, but check some of
the local speed shops.

No wonder Califonia is so screwed up. The valley girls and surfer dudes
have finally taken over.

Ah, another candidate for the Darwin award.
I'm gonna venture a guess and say you just turned 16, just got your license
less than a month ago, and have well-off parents who don't give a shit about
what you do in your "off" time. Sad.

I once heard California described as the worlds largest, open-air insane
