    Starlet brake problem

After being parked for a few days, my starlet developed a brake problem-felt
like brakes were grabbing off and on, similar to a warped rotor.
Inspecting the brakes showed that the left rotor had a section about 2"-3"
long that was somewhat rusted, but also looks severely corroded. The metal
is deeply pitted in an unusual way, sort of orange peel texture, but quite
deep. I have ordered a replacement rotor, too deep for resurfacing I'm
sure. Any ideas what might cause this?

What do you call a few days. Reguardless, the rotors will rust after
sitting a ffew (2-3) days, though not as bad as you say yours are. Make
sure you also replace the brake pads when you do the disc.
