Re: SRS light flashing
Well, I have an E36 which had the seat connector disconnected. Now my
SRS light is flashing and I, too, would like to know how to reset
the darned thing! I understand basic precautions like disconnecting
the battery cable when doing anything around the air bag or wiring.
And I understand from copious 'net research that disconnecting the
seat belt connector probably put a fault into the airbag computer, and
that it needs to be RESET to set things right! And that there is a
chance I could be wrong, and there really is a fault. But I would
really like to test that one myself, WITHOUT paying BMW $75+, first!
Come on, guys, if you don't know, then just say so, or be silent. I
must have read a zillion cavalier replies on the web the last few
days, to "take it by BMW and let them reset it". If that's your
attitude, why have this newsgroup? (Except, of course, to discuss the
merits of the latest carnauba wax?)
