    Spa returns!

Autosport is reporting that Spa will be back next year:

.... but this makes 18 venues vying for 17 possible dates.

Wasn't Imola under some threat, as well?

They could drop that silly American one, that'd be much better. Then again,
there's as much chance of that as there is of them using the proper
Nurburgring (the 14.6 miles Lauda frying one), or putting Eau Rouge back to
how it should be, a tricky corner on one of the best circuits in the world.

The first races to go will always be one race from the double-dippers like
Germany, France and Italy. After that, it`s a guess.

The way I've read the articles it's as an alternative to Silverstone -
but they have a shitload of work to do before then. The roads would be
    carnage as well...

    In article <bglc4a$73q$lut.ac.uk>, Graham Hodgson
    <com> writes
Tom Wheatcroft has been reported as saying he's willing to plough £50
    million into the project.

Personally I love Donington. it's one of my favourite circuits, and I'd
hate to see it bastardised as Silverstone has been.

It was busy for the EuroBoss event earlier in the year, and that was
what I was basing my comments on. Were the fields not boggy in '93?

    I'd

Indeed. Donington, in it's current format, is absolutely beautiful, and
that's just coming across the television. I absolutely love watching the
motor-bikes race there. I would love to see Schumacher, Barrichello,
Raikkonen and Montoya all sweeping through the Craner curves, at the
    limit of grip...
