Corvette: skim of oil on top of the coolant??

Hey all i'm new to this so sorry for any flubs. My buddy has a 1990 vette
and his last oil change he noticed a skim of oil on his coolant, both
pressure and overflow tank. There was no coolant in the oil. This makes no
sense to anyone we know, anyone have any ideas?
