    SID in 2000 9-5

I recently bought a 2000 Saab 9-5. The SID has some pixels that are not
working, and I found some information at www.saabnet.com about repairing it.
Should I try repairing it myself or buy a new one? Where could I buy one?

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

Contact Saab, 1-800-Saab-USA and tell them how much you love the car but the
SID is messed up. Ask them to replace it under warranty work. (This is
what my dealer told me to do) My 1999 9-3 SID did that same thing last year
and Saab replaced it. I had to pay for installation by the dealer, but Saab
sent me a new SID within several days. If they won't replace it, then try
to repair it with saabnet's tutorial. Good luck! Alex

If it is saab certified, then the warranty is still in effect. In
fact, the warranty on my 2000 9-5 is still in effect, I think (4
years). I haven't hit the time limit yet... if at all possible, let
    the dealer do it.

Exactly! My car was out of warranty and the even replaced it. So give it a
    try. Good Luck, Alex
