Nissan Altima: shredding

    I just bought a 97 nissan alitma..when i driving and let off the gas to
    stop the car almost dies..the rpms go down to 400 then it picks back up
    and idels right for a min..then it will kind go back down to around 400
    and pick back up again where its supposed to be..does anyone know what
    this might be..

    i just bought a 97 nissan altima...when i let off the gas to stop the oil
    light flashes and the rpms drop down to about 400...then the oil light
    stops flashing and it idels back up..then kind of back up and down...the
    oil is full..anyone know what this might be...

    it is normal i guess for the oil pressure light flikkering at 400rpm,
    the lower rpm on thoses is supposed to be 550, lower then that not
    enought pressure. Better have your injectors checked, because with
    time injectors leaks and that give too much in the engine so this is
    the reason your rpm go down, too rich in fuel and poor in air. Do you
    have the ''check engine soon'' light on? if so better read codes it
    may answer your questions
