I tried the Garmin MapViewer with CN5 and found that quite a few roads
showed up in that area as soon as I zoomed in to the 0.5 mile scale with
'More Detail' checked. Still not quite as many as with MG 4.01, but some
roads were depicted more completely on CN5 - e.g. Augusta is shown
connecting to Hwy. 707 whereas MG4 shows only a little 0.1 mile unnamed
road segment without any connection at either end. OTOH, Hwys. 707/681 &
717 are shown extending much farther in MG4.
I'm not in that area so I can't judge the relative accuracy.

That may not be a fair comparison. You may need to zoom closer than 1
mile in the previewer to see the detail in different map products. However I
just went to MapSource and done a comparison for the area you refer to and
you are correct. MetroGuide v4 does have more detail than CN does in that
area. However this is an exception to the norm. This is why we suggest
comparing maps to see which is best for you. I will still stand by my
statement that generally NavTech data is more accurate, complete and more up
to date than TeleAtlas info. Not always but usually.

That may be true -- it *should* be true, because NavTech CityNavigator
5.0 is much newer than MetroGuide 3. But in many of the rural areas I
visit, it's the other way around. I guess they don't call it "City"
Navigator for nothing...
