    Seat recline mechanism?

Curious if anyone with a 900 (94' and up) have expereinced failures with the
seat recline function. Mine has busted twice - $200+ to repair each time.
It seems the gears are made from plastic and when one slips out of alignment
it twists the seat and eventually breaks the gears.

    Anyone with similar problems?

Does anyone know if the same seats were used in the classic 900? I have
    a 1990 900 with manual seats and a 1993 900 with power seats - no
    problems with the seats.

Classic 900 seats are different from the NG ones. I owned both, and they
look somewhat similar, but in reality they are not.

The only problems I've heard of with the NG900 seats are that the
cables that release the seat backs eventually need replacement.
The power mechanism itself has no problems other than the fact
that the relay sometimes comes loose and has to be re-inserted.
