BMW: satellite radio

satellite radio
X-no-archive: yes
I recently got an email message from BMW talking about
satellite radio and how it can be enabled in my 2003 3-series.
Does anyone have this on their car? How much does it cost to
install and how much does the service run? (I assume there
is some kind of service plan that you have to pay for, as
opposed to regular radio which is free.)

Re: satellite radio
Satellite radio is approximately $10 per month, but well worth it. I was
going to install it into my Z4 but discovered I could not have both GPS and
Sirius (the satellite service BMW sells). I had to pick on or the other.

Re: satellite radio
I installed XM in the car with a bracket I bought from www.panavise.com .
Mow my Delphi SkyFi sits next to the radio and I can flip from CD to CD
Changer to XM to AM/FM with a touch of the button.
There is XM and Sirius radio. XM has more station and some say a better
sound, Sirius has more music. I like XM, personally.
There is an adapter that can be plugged in thhe back of your radio to get
your rca out and that is what you plug XM or Sirius in.
