When you say easiest way, what exactly do you mean? Removing the
engine is pretty much the same in all cars - you disconnect all
the coolant hoses, the fuel hoses, the wiring loom, the
driveshafts, the engine mounts, and you lift it out.

Re: saab 9000 turbo engine removal help
a: it was not a pointless post
b: the binary smily was a accident i cut and pasted my orginal message from
a message board had it had a smiley in it
i did not think it would capture the smiley image file
so i apoligize for the accidental binary
ok how do i remove the inboard cv joints so the engine and tranny come up as
one unit
i for one after parting this out am sorta glad i do not have to do regular
maintenance on this thing lol
i have done other engine/cars

Wait Clayton . . . Grunff referred to the *binary* as being pointless, not the
post as such.

I didn't say/think it was. I was referring to the smilie gif as
being poinless.
Ok, no problem.
The inner drivers are 3 roller spider joints - they just pull
out. All you need to do is undo the wishbone balljoint and
anti-roll bar (sway bar) to allow the bottom of the wheel to
swing out a little.

Don't touch the ball joint. Loosen and remove two bolts on the strut
and pull the drive shaft.
