This is the only bit I don't understand. Where should Kimi go? He is
essentially past Rubens by the accident - Rubens' front wheel hits his back
wheel - and he impacts with Ralf's car on the sidepod having slowed
slightly and rotated. That to me says he was almost level with Ralf. Should
he really have moved onto the grass (and at that speed, and that corner,
into the gravel and out of the race) just because Ralf wanted to be further
over? If Rubens had been just a little less quick off the line, and Ralf
and Kimi both cleared him, they would have been virtually level, all but,
by turn 1. Kimi would have been on the racing line, and Ralf would have
been trying to claim it from maybe 1 or 2 feet ahead. I don't believe Ralf
would have the right to just drive Kimi off the road from there - this
isn't banger racing or the BTCC.

There's also no way Rubens could or should have hit the brakes early - he
would have simply caused whoever was behind him to run into the back of his
car. So I fail to see who but Ralf had the option of safe avoiding action.
Kimi was giving Rubens room, Rubens was giving Kimi room, and Ralf was
driving like there was no one else on track but him.

No, I didn't forget the third car. It was on the grass. How in the world
could anyone expect Ralf to see another car outside of Rubens on the grass?
