Resetting my POwer Locks in a '90 750il

OK, just bought a gently used 750il and am having a problem with my
locks. No matter how I turn the key or raise the handle, or both, I
cannot get the central locking to correctly operate. The right rear
door will lock neither by the central locking system, nor being
manually pushed down. The right front door can be locked manually by
pushing down the knob, but does not react at all when you try to lock
all the doors by putting the key in the driver's door. So, when
someone opens either of those doors when the central locking has been
engaged with the key, the alarm goes off........does this sound
familiar to anyone? Is there a simple switch or method to reset this
system or the alarm?.........I know, sounds complicated, but probably
has a simple answer. All fuses and mechanicals concerned with the
locks are in good working order best as I can tell.

In my uneducated opinion, you might want to look at the right rear door, and
try and get it to lock at all.
I've got a different system ('98 E36) but I suspect it may hold true across
ranges - if mine can't lock one door, it won't lock any.
