Corvette: replace spark plug wires on c4 lt1

i bought new spark plug wires for my 95 lt1. i figured it would take about
30 minutes or so to replace them. i was wrong. optispark sucks! i traced the
wires to the optispark distributor on the passenger side, but the drivers
side seems impossible to change. the drive belt and pulleys are in my way.
is there any kind of trick to changing the wires? should i get under the car
to reach the distributor? it'd driving me nuts! please help!

Tie a string to the one end of the old wire and pull it out. Tie the string
back on the new wire and pull it back. I did it on both sides on my 93.
