BMW: Removing the Dealer "Badge"

Re: Removing the Dealer "Badge"
NAIL POLISH REMOVER!!???!!! ARE YOU NUTS?!!!! The acetone content will
wear right through the paint eventually. I would clean the area with soap
and water and apply 2-3 coats of polish and wax over the area immediately.

Maybe you should simply ask, which kind of compensation you get when you
use your car as an advertisement carrier for their company. 20 years ago I
met a guy with a small Fiad, who had a huge sticker in the rear window. I
asked him about and he said that he gets every oil service free of charge
in compensation for that.
In germany it is extremely popular to use customized plastic frames for the
license plate, which carry the name of the dealer.

This has been going on in the UK for years. (How many "Williams" SAAB's
have you seen?)
So I know its a bit late to help here, but certainly I whenever I buy a car
I make it explicitly clear at the time of purchase that I will not accept a
badge or dealer logo on the car. Then you are covered.

Re: Removing the Dealer "Badge"
As your may recall, I collected my car from a German collection point. The
plateholder has a frame which says:
"Bremen Kundencenter"
(Dreadful American spelling of centre...)
Should I ask that Swabian manufacturer for advertising money or free
servicing?
:-))

Both should be equally desireable, given the hourly fees of a factory
