Ford Explorer: Received recall for seat lever and cruise control

Have not had a problem, but I also received the recall letter
yesterday. This was publicized in the press a couple weeks ago and
affects several years, not just the 99's. I plan to take mine in soon
and get these things fixed as both sound like they could cause major
problems.

mention of seat lever(2000 Ltd.) Letter said to make an appt. for 1/2
day of service, but dealer said stop in and they'd look at it briefly
to see if they needed to order a new cruise cable.

Got my recall notice yesterday also. I'll let my local dealer check it out
and at the same time I'll check out the new F150's if their on the lot.

Great timing on the recalls; maybe it's designed to get our interest in the
new models!????

Got my notice yesterday for the seat bolt only. I think a '04 F-150
SuperCrew was on the lot when I came home today!

Yep got mine for my 98 XLT.

I wish they would fix the bending seat lever though..... been a problem on
my 91 and now on my 98!
