    RAV4-Cruise control-problem

I had cruise control installed in my RAV4. On flat roads and the
cruise control on, the car "speeds up" for 3-4 seconds and then slow
down for 3-5 seconds. Than speed up again, and so on. It can't
understand it is supposed to work this way. Can it be adjusted to get
rid of this problem. The way it is now I almost get car-sick.

In my sordid past, I installed aftermarket cruise controls (circa
1980). The kits we installed left a lot of leeway to the installer as
to the location and method of installation. The kits typically
included enough hardware to cover any installation. By almost fitting
everything, the kit didn't really fit anything perfectly. First step
is to take it back to the installer and get them to check it out.

No, it's not supposed to work like that.
Take it back to the dealer and complain. If it's an aftermarket unit
like the Audiovox, get your money back and get a dealer-installed
    unit.
