Ford Mustang: Radiator Pressure Cap for 83 Mustang

Hi,

Recently an independent garage replaced the radiator cap on my 83
Mustang (3.8 liter engine, automatic) with a new pressure cap. Since
that time, my cooling system has developed a couple of leaks. The
pressure cap he installed says it is 16 lbs. Is that correct for this
Mustang?

And as to the subsequent leaks, that's to be expected if the previous cap was
weak... they would have happened anyway, the bad cap just delayed them.
