Dodge: question about an 2001 intrepid

Hello, my Mother just bought a 2001 intrepid and she wants to put an
remote starter on it I have one for models before security systems can I
make this work rather than having to buy a new one?
I didn't know if there was a bypass I could get to work with this?
final question can anyone tell me what kind of security these cars have
like passlock or pats or what it is Thanks

If this vehicle is equiped with the Chrysler Skim system Vehicle theft
alarm it will work if you take the chip out and glue it to the ign key
cylinder under the cover
