I have put a hard top on an old Ramcharger I had by myself.... a Wrangler
    shouldn't be impossible. I'm 5'11", 165lbs.

I wouldn't say it was impossible to do but you could seriously injure
yourself doing it. The only way to do it yourself is to put it on your back
and try to get up on the jeep to put it in place. This could really hurt
your back. I use the hoist a top it makes it a lot easier.

I got the top up on the vehicle and then while on my hands and knees in
the bed moved the top into position while it rode on my back. It
    actually worked out ok.

I install/remove the hardtop on my '02 TJ by myself twice a year - once in
the spring and once in the fall.

I have a large shelf in my garage that's 58" high. I remove the rear seat,
back the TJ up close to the shelf, then get inside the rear and after
un-bolting everything, lift the hardtop off the Jeep with my back and
carefully slide it onto the shelf.

I'm 6' tall and of regular build.

I had the duel top option when I bought my 04 Sahara and sold the hard top
because it was not convenient. I have owned two jeeps with rag tops and
thought why not on the hard top. Some days I would just want to take out
the side and back windows, could not do so on the hard top. I like the ease
of putting down the soft top in 10 minutes it is down and I am out having a
    blast.

The other reason I thought a hard top would be good is for security, well
the crooks think that too. People often have a false since of security
because of their hard top and store their valuables in their Jeep. Well,
needless to say they now have been liberated of their stuff.

The only option I have purchased for the Sahara is a hood locking system and
it works great, I never store stuff in the TJ that is worth a damn and 99%
of the time I don't lock the doors. I did have an issue of someone steeling
my $800.00 HID lights that I installed and now I just have standard lamps
    again.

So sell your hard top, buy a best soft top pocket the extra $$ and enjoy.
