Prius was never mentioned in the article, just Nebraskans reacting to
the price of fuel. If instead of taxing by the gallon, road taxes were a
percentage of the fuel bill, the road taxes would follow the gasoline
prices, inflation and the problem is solved.

Now what you forgot to include is the Prius higher sales taxes on these
horribly expensive cars. Yes, the Prius are subsidizing the cheaper,
gas-only cars with higher sales tax.

Not to worry, about six months ago, a right-wing, Republican hacks in
another forum tried to use the same bogus argument against Prius and
hybrids. He also omitted critical facts and made assertions not backed
up by his source.

C'mon, it's only a penny increase. It's cheaper than borrowing to balance
the books.
