    Pacifica future

There have been some references to an article that said Pacifica may
be discontinued. Does such an article exist or is it just some
    trolling.

I have been reading everywhere that sales are so slow, that they are coming
out with a downgraded version, a base model so to speak no leather, no
navigation, no sunroof, no chrome, etc......

said to save $5-7000 off the price.

Fine with me. I think it fills a niche that never existed! :-)

You mean the World is not banging down their door for a grossly overpriced,
underpowered, mid sized station wagon. It started well over $10,000.00 too
high for what was and is being offered.

Pretty much. Chrysler has had its share of niche-creating/filling
vehicles, but I don't see the Pacifica as one of them. The minivan
created a new niche for a vehicle that could haul as much as the old
full-size station wagons, but with easier accessibility, more headroom,
better driving position and better gas mileage and space utilization.
Clear advantages over other vehicles with a similar purpose.

I just don't see the uniqueness of the Pacifica. It carries 6
passengers, in three rows of two rather than two rows of three as most
    sedans. Big deal...

DC better do something quick. Who'd be stupid enough to pay 40% above the
list price of a comparably equipped Caravan and has less room? And all the
styling charm of a kitchen freezer.

It's now available in a lower-cost model (sans leather and awd); perhaps that
    will broaden its appeal.

Its price was very competitive with the likes of Lexus RX and Acura MDX.

It rides high, it comes with awd. Think Lexus RX and Acura MDX. Huge market
