Corvette: Oil pressure pegged on C5

Oil pressure pegged on C5
Hi folks
I had the oil pressure switch replaced, but it's still pegged the mechanic
gave up after 2 days. Says it could be the dashboard cluster. (But
everything else works on it...) Does anybody have any ideas?

The sensor is a variable resistance--low
pressure, low resistance // high pressure,
high resistance. Most likely an open
circuit (broken wire or connector)
between sensor and IP. Other possibility
is the cluster itself -- go for the simple
(and cheapest) stuff first.

Re: Oil pressure pegged on C5
Thanks for the reply. It very well could be an open circuit. I think I ran
a Porsche over on the beltway a few weeks ago...
Can somebody point me to the sensor? (It was relpaced) I'll have to follw
the wires myself.
