Jeep: oil leak in 1992 wrangler

oil leak in 1992 wrangler
I have an 1992 wrangler with 75000 mi.
I have replaced the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, core
plug
from behind the camshaft. The leak increases as the engine temp increases.
It seams to drip from around the starter housing. Before I replace the head
gasket
I thought I would ask for some help. I'm in the process of running the
engine with
dye in the oil, not real hopeful.
Thanks for the help...

Check your dipstick tube where it meets the block also check the distributor
base for seepage, both will run down the block and look like oil is coming
from around the starter area.

Re: oil leak in 1992 wrangler
In some of the newer I6's there is a plate with
seals that the oil filter screws onto. My 91 I6
screws directly into the block...
anyhow there are 2 seals below that plate and its held
in place with 2 torax bolts on the inside...
