Chrysler: oil filer location on a 3.2?

oil filer location on a 3.2?
??? Can't see it from above or below. No ramps or lift available to
help out on the search quite yet.
I *think* it's on the left side below the exhaust manifold but am not
sure.
And how is the thing mounted. 'Straight in' from below or at a 90
degree side angle.
and thanks!

Re: oil filer location on a 3.2?
I'll assume you mean the 3.2L in the LH cars...
You have to approach it from underneath the car. It is on the left
(driver's side) of the car, forward of the front tire, "buried." If it's
black, you'll need a light to see it :-).
For best results, you'll need to either use a ramp or jack stands. Also,
you'll need one of those "3 pronged" oil wrench (opens/closes with turns), a
long extension, and a ratchet drive. This assumes that you don't have hands
with a steel grip. The design is just right so that the filter barely fits
through the opening through the framework.

Re: oil filer location on a 3.2?
Intrepid/Concorde, right?
Yep, toward the front of the engine.
At a side angle, somewhat less than 90 degrees.
It's way up in there. I know where the thing is, and if it's painted a dark
color I still have to hunt for it visually.
I use a 'cap style' oil filter wrench -- it fits over the end of the filter
and has a 3/8ths square ratchet drive hole in the center. I'm pretty sure a
6" extension will give you the reach you need. Watch for oil running on the
k-frame when you get it loose.
