News article: GM global car lineup turns to rear drive

good story, I did find an error:

"With the demise of the Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro, Cadillac is
now the only GM division that currently sells a rear wheel drive car in
North America -- the CTS sedan."

    hmm...what about the Corvette?

The Corvette is just a figment of your imagination. It's just a FWD,
    rebadged Toyota Tercel.

They really do make a great I-3 engine, too.

    Just fooling with you

    Copied directly from the article:

"With the demise of the Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro, Cadillac and
Chevrolet are now the only GM divisions that currently sell rear wheel drive
cars in North America -- the CTS sedan and the Corvette. "

Actually Cadillac SUV are basically RWD/AWD. Cadillac will build
only RWD models, over the next three years. GM's mid sized cars
are returning to RWD as well. The new Grand Prix
will return to RWD, with a V8 available, starting in 2004 as
a 2005. Chrysler is returning to RWD as well in the Intrepid and
larger Chryslers. The only domestics that will stay with FWD are
the compact and smaller cars, where FWD has an interior room
advantage they can use. Larger and performance cars don't need
the room and can benefit greatly from the superior handling of
    RWD.
