    Bart,
    Welcome.
I had an 80 once. Great car and low miles...
Pretty good group here for the most part. Some neurotic BS at times but, we
don't have to read everything luckily. I can usually get my questions
answered here is the main thing. And some questions I don't think to ask.

just don't let your wife catch you kissing on the car more than her...
"She giveth..and she can taketh away..." The lightening will strike down
from the heavens and the wrath of wife will be that of which you have never
    known.

feels kinda cool to own a Vette huh ? just remember the wave !

    Fitz:

Why would you want one of those crappy fiberglass American made junk boxes?
Just yankin yer chain. 80 is a nice year for styling...they brought back
the "flip" on the tail (the thing that was laughingly called a "spoiler" on
the 68s) and some other nice stuff. Funny how you can't help smiling when
you drive it, huh? Best of luck with it. What color combo did you get? I
can help with most electrical problems / questions if they come up, and
you'll find a wealth of info here from some of the folks. Just one word of
advice regarding this news group...don't listen to "dave". He's a clueless
troll that will give you an answer to everything (whether you ask or not)
and he's always wrong. The only Corvette that he may possibly own is a
matchbox car. Pay attention to "Dad", "StingRay", "Process45" and some
others I forgot. "Hobbes" is good too, but his knowledge base, as good as
it is, is limited to C5s ) Other than the electrics / electronics, my
specialty is totally useless Corvette trivia.

Nostalgia! Had a 69 Bonneville years ago. Was stolen. Bought one of the
new Honda 750s right after that in 1970. For the time, it was a real
breakthrough machine. But the Triumph (and Nortons) handled far better.

knowledge. I have been in this room for a year maybe and learned a ton about
