New Stereo In...No More Turn/Hazard Signals
So,
I had a new stereo installed, and now no turn signals or hazards
working. Anybody have and idea what might be wrong?

Sure, the installers screwed it up. Take it back and demand they fix it.

Yeah, the bozo (installer) popped a fuse.

Or left the hazard switch unplugged which is a more likely scenario. Did
he remove the bezel which has a hazard switch in it? If so, 99.99%
chances are its unplugged.

Re: New Stereo In...No More Turn/Hazard Signals
you didnt have a professional install it.
Any , and i do mean ANY 3rd grader can wire up a new stereo.
The Stereo MFG now all use the same color code for the wiring as does the
adapter plug MFG. So the red wire goes to the red wire , the yellow to
yellow, etc.
They may have left the hazards unplugged.

Not necessarily true. My installer had a lot of problems with my 98 Camry
wiring because there were no harnesses available at the time. This was not
at discount store, but at fairly high end car audio shop.

Well, considering Toyotas wiring has been the same since 1987, I think
someone was snowing you.

Yes! Still the same to this day. Exception is the anti-theft/premium
units, they have remote amps, but the connectors going to the amps are
the same as the std ones.

Remote possibility, but I encountered it:
Could be bad grounding.
My '85 Mitsubishi Sigma GSR had no stereo in it when I got it. After wiring
mine in, the tail lights and instrument lighting failed - couldn't get it to
keep a fuse. Radio was fine. And I was using the ground wire that was
present (existing wiring loom).
Basic troubleshooting deciphered the tail light problem only started after I
installed the radio, so I doublechecked the wiring and re-earthed the radio
directly to chassis. Problem disappeared and car was night-driveable again.
Nick.
